Are you impressed? I sure am. (Full disclosure, there are a few additional items for the hanging locker. There might even be a few pairs of shoes.)
A thirty six foot boat sounds big until you start loading it with everything you might need for several months. Especially when you have to take the Chief Morale Officer's entire supply of specialty dog food (because it can't be purchased at a grocery store along the way).
While Linda was packing, I've been busy polishing and waxing the boat to protect it from salt water and make it easier to clean. I also un-winterized and tested the engines and systems. All systems go!
The other project that Linda and I both have been working on for weeks is shutting down our Chattanooga life. That means cancelling newspapers, prepaying bills and arranging for the upkeep on the house while we are away. We're very excited to have a student living in the house while we are gone (and so is he)!
As the departure day gets closer we get more and more excited. I even made our first marina reservation today.
